The reason? People do not know how to use the flash. So, be sure to buy cameras that you only have to "arm the flash once" and, make sure you place directions at the table about how to use the camera and the flash.
Another possibility would be including information in the invites requesting that your guests upload pictures they take at your wedding to a specific web site. You can leave cards on the tables with the same information and follow up with the information in thank you notes. Some have had mixed success with this but if you include the information in the invites, on the tables, and with thank you notes it shuld be pretty good.
